Amanda Knox, who spent 1,400 days in an Italian prison after being convicted of murdering her college roommate, Meredith Kercher, in 2007, says that what happened to her “could have happened to anybody,” and that her experience in Italy was “surreal.” An Italian appeals court overturned the ruling in 2011, and Amanda now wants to be “reconsidered as a person.” However, that may prove to be difficult since Italy’s highest court last month overturned their acquittal. Amanda now faces a retrial.
