Manchester United’s injury-hit squad is still the strongest in the Premier League, insists boss David Moyes.
The reigning champions have had a tough start to life without Sir Alex Ferguson at the helm, currently sitting eighth in the table, 10 points behind leaders Arsenal.
But despite their floundering league form and injuries to players including Robin van Persie, Nani, Michael Carrick and Marouane Fellaini, Moyes says his squad have the depth to cope with the demanding festive schedule and climb the league table.
‘We have the biggest squad, arguably the strongest squad,’ said the Scot.
‘I think we’ve got a squad which is capable of coping with the games ahead.
‘We could nearly change 11 players every game should we need to do so because we have that depth in the squad here.’
