President Obama’s administration has been negotiating a deal with Iran to slow or stop their development of a nuclear weapon. Supporters of Israel and others, mostly neo-cons from the GW Bush era, are in opposition. They hope to scuttle the deal by imposing new sanctions on Iran. They also appear on TV as experts on Iranian intentions. I question their qualifications to speak as experts. If they could not in eight years teach President Bush how to say the word “nuclear,” how can we trust their expertise on the more complicated subject of Iran and their intentions?
