DIXON (CBS SF) — The Solano County Sheriff’s Office has identified the Sacramento man who was shot by a California Highway Patrol officer in Dixon Monday evening as 42-year-old Webster Lee.
Sheriff’s Deputy Daryl Snedeker said Lee allegedly shot two people in Sacramento Monday, stole a vehicle, drove to Concord, abandoned that vehicle and stole another vehicle before heading into Solano County on eastbound Interstate Highway 80.

Concord police issued an alert about the stolen car and the California Highway Patrol spotted the stolen vehicle near Pedrick Road shortly before 8 p.m., CHP Officer Daniel Hill said.
The CHP pulled the car over and officers approached it with a department-issued shotgun because they were aware Lee was a suspect in a violent incident, Hill said.
One of the officers shot Lee with the shotgun, Hill said.
